Terms of Service
Last updated: December 23, 2024
The Short Version
These terms exist to protect both of us. We believe in fairness, transparency, and treating you the way we'd want to be treated.
- We agree on scope and price before work begins
- No hidden fees or surprise charges
- Clear communication is our priority
- Either party can end the engagement fairly
That's the gist. Keep reading for the details, or reach out if you have questions.

Payments & Fees
We believe in transparent pricing. Here's how payments work:
- Pricing is agreed before work begins
- No hidden fees or surprise charges
- We accept major credit cards and bank transfers
- Scope changes are discussed and quoted separately
If you're ever unsatisfied, let us know. We'll work with you in good faith to make things right.
Revisions & Changes
Getting things right matters. Revisions are a normal part of how we work:
- Revisions are a normal part of the process
- Scope changes are discussed before we continue
- We communicate clearly at every step
- Additional requests are quoted separately
We don't nickel-and-dime you. If something needs tweaking within the agreed scope, we'll take care of it.
Working Together
Great projects are a partnership. Here's what helps us do our best work for you:
Provide timely feedback on our work
Share content and assets when needed
Respond to questions within a reasonable time
Be available for key decisions
We know you're busy. We just ask for reasonable responsiveness so we can keep things moving.
Timeline & Delivery
We move fast, but never at the expense of quality:
- Most projects are delivered in 7-14 days
- Timeline depends on project scope and your feedback
- We'll communicate proactively if any delays occur
- Launch happens when you're happy with the result
Ending an Engagement
Sometimes things don't work out. That's okay. We handle cancellations fairly:
- Either party can end the engagement at any time
- Completed work is paid for and delivered to you
- We'll provide all files and assets
- No penalties for good-faith cancellations
We want you to be happy. If you need to stop, we'll make the transition as smooth as possible.
Who Owns What
Let's be clear about ownership:
- You own the final website upon full payment
- You retain ownership of all content you provide
- We may use work in our portfolio (unless you request otherwise)
- Third-party libraries retain their respective licenses
In short: once you pay, it's yours. We just ask to show it off in our portfolio unless you'd prefer we don't.
Liability & Expectations
We take our work seriously, but here are some reasonable limits:
- We work in good faith to deliver quality work
- We stand behind our work during the project
- Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us
- We do our best—but no one can guarantee perfection
We're not trying to dodge responsibility. We just want to set fair expectations for both sides.
Custom Software for Nonprofits
We build affordable custom software for qualifying nonprofit organizations. Here's how it works:
Who qualifies:
- Registered 501(c)(3) or equivalent nonprofit status
- Organizations with a genuine charitable mission
- Groups that need custom tools but lack an enterprise budget
How the process works:
- 1 Book a short discovery call or submit an enquiry
- 2 We review and respond within a few business days
- 3 We scope the work and quote at a nonprofit-friendly rate
- 4 We build and hand over the software — you own it
Optional paid services:
- Hosting and ongoing support
- Ongoing maintenance and updates
- Additional features and future phases
There's no obligation to continue services after launch. You own the software we build for you.
Changes & Questions
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we'll let you know if we have your contact information.
